Original over generic.
References are a beginning, not a design. Custom work should carry the idea without looking like somebody else’s tattoo.
INDEPENDENT SINCE 2011
Argus did not begin with a branding exercise. It began with a tattooer, a machine and a room in Antwerp’s old centre.
THE ARGUS TIMELINE
THE FIRST SHOP
Under the wings of Tattoo Danny he learns the ropes of working in a busy streetshop
TAKING OVER
Sticky Stef opens the Antwerp tattoo shop that carries his name. The foundation is already clear: original drawing, honest advice and tattoos made to last.
THE CREW GROWS
Illustrative blackwork, painting and an observer’s eye widen the studio’s range without turning it into a house style. The shop becomes more than one artist’s address.
ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW
Japanese imagery, manga and anime bring a new visual language to the room.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
The studio moves to Diksmuidelaan 156 in Berchem. A new neighbourhood and a growing company of artists call for a name broad enough to hold them all: Argus Tattoo.
References are a beginning, not a design. Custom work should carry the idea without looking like somebody else’s tattoo.
A good tattoo artist does more than say yes. Expect honest guidance on placement, scale, detail and what will age well.
Different specialities are not dividing lines. Sharing a shop means sharing experience, sharpening ideas and helping every client reach the artist who fits.
Every body enters on equal terms. Argus is proudly LGBTQ+ friendly: respectful, curious and free of judgement.
THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM
Different lives, references and visual instincts. One shared belief that a client should feel heard before the machine starts talking.

MANY EYES. NO BORROWED POINT OF VIEW.
